Every year, Wayne County Public Library celebrates games, comics, and all things geek-related with our annual Geeks and Gamers Festival! This year is going to be as big as ever, with a Marvel vs. Capcom 3 tournament, door prizes, and all the gaming you could ask for for two days at the library!
This is a great time for families to come in and try a new game together, for area gamers to hang out and meet new friends, and for everybody to see how video games and board games can bring people together. The Library will be open for business as usual, so in between games feel free to come over to check out a favorite book or movie.
The Geeks and Gamers Festival will be on Friday, July 29th, from 11 AM-4:30 PM and Saturday, July 30th, from 10 AM-4:30 PM. The Marvel vs. Capcom 3 tournament will be on Saturday; it requires registration and is limited to those aged 13-18 years as of August 31, 2011. To register for tournament play, call (919-735-1824 ext. 5116) or stop by the Wayne County Public Library Reference Desk. Tournament participants are strongly encourage to pick up a copy of the official tournament rules from the Reference Desk.
